Incline Village Real Estate - Activities Information
BEACHES
Lake Tahoe has a wide variety of beaches among the most beautiful in the world. Spectacular views, clean mountain air, and super clear waters that vary in temperature depending on your location at the lake. There are so many beaches around the lake that it is hard to pick one favorite. Remember that the beaches on the east shore get sun later in the day than anywhere else around the lake, but they also tend to be the most crowded in the afternoon.

There are too many beaches around the lake to describe on this one page. South Lake Tahoe has some nice beaches, such as Pope Beach, but they get very crowded all summer long. Along the east shore there are many little beaches and coves that you can hike to in 5 to 30 minutes. Be careful of losing your footing or getting scraped up badly on the sharp branches from the shrubs and foliage.
The sun is very intense at the altitude where you find Lake Tahoe. Wear sunblock and sunglasses even on cloudy days, you don't want to go home with a painful sunburn!
