A minor winter storm moved through the Sierras on Thursday night and Friday morning. This is a reminder that ski season is not far away. However, it looks like we have nice weather on the horizon for the remainder of October. And that’s good news for buyers of Incline Village real estate who were out in full force last week. It was another big week for sales with 12 properties going into escrow and 9 places closing escrow on the Incline Village MLS.
Once again we had a nice broad range of properties getting action last week. The prices of the places going into escrow ranged from $369,800 – $3,595,000. The highest priced property was a very nice single-family home on Shoreline Circle. We are seeing a lot of activity in the luxury home market this year. This is typical of strong economic times in Northern California which provides about 2/3 of the buyers for Incline Village real estate.
One of the properties going under contract was for a deal that Don and Cole put together very quickly. #128 Third Creek came on the market on Thursday. We had buyers waiting for a 3 bedroom condo in a good location in the complex. They raced up on Friday to look at the property and wrote an offer. It took a little over 24 hours to negotiate the deal and after only one counter offer, buyer and seller reached agreement. This is the type of pace we Incline Village real estate agents need to move at when a highly desirable property hits the MLS. In total there were nearly a dozen showings in 3 days, but as they say at the Olympics, the race goes to the swift.
