As we head into the Summer Solstice this weekend, the pollen season seems to be giving us a last blast. This week’s gusty winds have stirred up clouds of pollen—sometimes so thick they appear as yellow plumes in the air. Here’s a helpful Insiders tip: rinse off your doors, porches, stairs, and decks regularly to keep the yellow dust outside. If you’re sensitive to allergens, consider picking up a portable air purifier to improve indoor air quality—our local Ace Mountain Hardware & Sports has a great selection (and hoses, too!).

As we move past mid June in Tahoe, communities around the lake are preparing for the Fourth of July celebrations and Incline Village is no exception. Preparations include a wide range of activities for family and friends to enjoy. If you are visiting Incline Village during this festive summer season, you can check out our Local Heroes 4th of July Celebration Schedule. It’s an opportunity for you to experience all the love and passion locals pay forward for their community.  

 

Although our temperatures cooled with the winds this week, property closings remained hot and those in escrow almost doubled. This suggests a healthy market despite the late start. 

We are seeing an influx of luxury homes land on the multiple listings service for a second time this season, where prices are between $4,248,000 to $11,900,00, and two (2) of these are in the $11,000,000 range. Coupled with an array of condominiums and single family homes, our weekly glance at the market shows a continued trend for buyer choice.
