December has officially arrived here in the Lake Tahoe basin and we couldn't be more thrilled. We have received over a foot of fresh snow here in Incline Village this week, multiple feet on the mountain tops, and there's still more to come! And we must say, with the rooftops and treetops dressed in winter white, we are fully feeling the Holiday spirit.
And since this time of year is the most magical time of year, we don't want you to miss out on all of the magical moments that are on the horizon. So this week on the blog, we have decided to forgo our usual market update and instead, share some of the wonderful events that are going on this December - in Incline Village and around Lake Tahoe.

DIAMOND PEAK SKI SEASON KICKOFF PARTY
Diamond Peak, Village Ski Loft and Alibi are teaming up for a fun and festive Ski Season Kickoff Party on Friday, December 9th. Kick off your ski or snowboard boots and don an ugly sweater to celebrate with us at Alibi Incline Public House. This all-ages party will include goofy games, karaoke, prizes and the release of the 2022-23 Snowflake IPA (brewed specifically for Diamond Peak’s Snowflake Lodge)! For those ages 21+, show your Diamond Peak season pass or day ticket for discounts on pints.

BASE TO BASE GONDOLA GRAND OPENING AT PALISADES TAHOE
Head on over Saturday, December 17th to celebrate the historic opening of the Base to Base Gondola at Palisades Tahoe. The Alpine Lodge and The Village at Palisades Tahoe will now be connected by a 16-minute ride across stunning views of the Sierras and Lake Tahoe.

We’re thrilled to bring back our Santa Photos for the 2nd year in a row! We’ve upgraded our sleigh and Santa & his elf are ready to snap some FREE pics with you and your family, pets included of course! Keep your eyes peeled for that sneaky Grinch trying to photo bomb your picture. We’ll have treats for your pups and hot cocoa and candy canes for you.

CHRISTMAS EVE TORCHLIGHT PARADE
Gather family and friends for a memorable Christmas Eve celebration as Santa and his elves arrive on the historic Tucker Sno-Cat with it's trailer on sleds. Holiday gifts are handed out to children, and then skiers with torches come down the hill with music playing for a spectacular show. Dress warmly and enjoy treats and a fireplace at the Ski Hut. There is no cost to attend, so spread the word and bring your loved ones!
